History

ECI’s roots extend back to the mid 80’s when its founding partners established ACM Composites to develop and manufacture wood composite hockey sticks for both pros and the everyday player.

By the early 90’s, ACM was also molding thermo-set composite parts for large manufacturers of electrical, transport and defense products. In the mid 90’s, Electro Composites was established to develop and advance proprietary technologies and products for the energy sector. These products used epoxy-based compounds, molded with an APG (automated pressure gellation) process to produce compact, durable components of complex shape and function.

Today, Electro Composites manufactures oil-free, epoxy bushings for transformers, re-closers, switches and other electrical apparatuses, replacing more traditional product made of porcelain and glass.

ECI continues to grow its product range and technological capabilities, focusing on high voltage insulation applications, ballistic parts for land vehicles and military communications systems components.
